Premium packaging is a physical product. Understand the structural boards, tactile papers, and engineered films we use to construct your brand's unboxing experience.

01

The Skeleton

Structural Core

The hidden foundation that dictates the weight, rigidity, and durability of your rigid box.

Standard Greyboard

1000 GSM - 3000 GSM (1.5mm - 4mm)

The industry standard for premium rigid boxes. 100% recycled, highly dense, and provides a sharp 90-degree edge when V-grooved.

Black Core Board

1200 GSM - 2000 GSM

Solid black throughout. Used when the exposed edge of the board needs to remain dark without requiring internal lining, ideal for high-end tech packaging.

MDF Timber

3mm - 6mm

Used strictly for ultra-luxury keepsake or liquor boxes requiring metal hinges, heavy-duty latches, or extreme impact resistance.

02

The Tactile Surface

Wrapping Paper

The exterior skin. This dictates how the box absorbs light, accepts print, and feels in the hand.

Art Paper (Coated)

128 GSM - 157 GSM

Smooth, sealed surface. Essential for photographic CMYK printing. Requires lamination (matte or gloss) to prevent cracking on the box folds.

Uncoated Specialty Paper

110 GSM - 140 GSM

Raw, porous, and highly tactile. Absorbs ink deeply for a muted, organic aesthetic. Cannot be laminated; relies on the natural paper texture.

Textured & Embossed Paper

120 GSM - 150 GSM

Pre-manufactured with physical patterns (linen, leatherette, woodgrain). Used for minimalist designs where the texture is the primary visual element.

Metallic Paper

120 GSM - 157 GSM

Infused with metallic pigments. Allows for stunning light interplay when combined with opaque UV white ink printing.

03

The Finish

Laminations & Coatings

Applied over printed art paper to protect the ink and alter the final hand-feel.

Anti-Scratch Matte

Premium Film

A dead-flat, non-reflective finish engineered to resist scuffs during shipping. The standard choice for dark, solid-color boxes.

Soft-Touch (Velvet) Matte

Luxury Film

Alters the friction of the paper, giving it a rubberized, peach-fuzz texture. Highly premium feel, but prone to showing fingerprints on dark colors.

High-Gloss

Standard Film

Highly reflective and smooth. Punches up the contrast and saturation of printed colors. Extremely durable and easy to wipe clean.

Don't guess. Feel the difference.

Screen pixels cannot replicate the friction of soft-touch matte or the depth of uncoated linen. Request our physical material swatch book to make an informed structural decision.
